Six Celebrations (Four Are Free!)

October Cheese MonthOctober is American Cheese Month, which means a 31 glorious days of American cheesy goodness. (And we don’t mean those orange plastic wrapped slices!)

As Denver’s only cheese shop run by former cheesemakers/sheep dairy owners (here are some pictures), one of our missions at C+P is to work directly with artisan cheesemakers to bring new cheeses to Colorado that the state hasn’t seen before. It costs us a little more, but we are passionate about helping these artisans – many of whom go head-to-head with European cheeses – make a living by making delicious cheese.

We’re celebrating the month with six events (four are free!).

Best in America Cheese Pairing Classes

On October 6 and October 22 we will host special tasting classes where guests can taste the three cheeses voted Best in Show this year at the American Cheese Society’s “Cheese Oscars.”

The class will feature the three top winners as well as five other gold medal winners.  Several of these are very limited production so we’ve leveraged our relationships to bring them to Denver.  This is a unique opportunity to taste the best in American cheesemaking.

Free Weekend Tasting Bars (and 10% Off) 

 

First Place WinnersYou look at our cheese case and see cheese.  We look at it and see a case full of stories.  Come visit us on an October weekend and we’ll tell you the stories behind some of our favorite cheeses and we’ll give you a discount on them! .  We will have a complimentary tasting bar each weekend in October, AND all of the cheeses on our tasting bar will be 10% off that weekend.  

Just stop in between 11 am and 3 pm and discover some new cheeses. Here’s the schedule:
