Cheese, Music and Libations! (Free)
Cheese+Provisions and the Oldways Cheese Coalition will host Denver’s first-ever “Cheese Block Party” on July 26 from 1 pm – 4 pm. The event is being organized in conjunction with the American Cheese Society’s (ACS) annual conference, which will take place in Denver that week.
A dozen local and national cheesemakers, charcuterie makers and small-batch food producers will set up in the store’s courtyard at the Cobbler’s Square Development (44th & Zuni) and offer tastes of their products while live music plays. Beer and wine will also be available.
“Having the American Cheese Society’s conference in Denver presented us with a unique opportunity to live up to our motto of ‘Celebrating the Artisans’,” said Kim Duty, the shop’s owner and 2017 national co-chair of the ACS Conference. “The best American artisan cheesemakers are convening in our city, and the Block Party is a fun event to let our customers meet a some of them in person.”
“With so many specialty food retailers also coming to town for the Conference, we also wanted to shine a spotlight on some of the great Denver companies producing artisan and small-batch foods,” said Duty.
