Cheese+Provisions is owned by husband-and-wife duo, Steve and Kim Duty. Steve has been in the food-and-beverage industry for more than 30 years. He is Culinary Institute of America-trained chef and award-winning winemaker, former cheesemaker and brewer. Kim is a communications professional who has become a passionate foodie through life with Steve.
We use our lifetime of tasting and our personal relationships with cheesemakers from around the country to bring you hard-to-find, small batch cheeses. We also leverage our deep roots in the, food and hospitality worlds to work directly with dozens of small food producers throughout the US. to bring unique tastes to Denver.
We emphasize products made with traditional methods and in small batches. As former farmstead cheesemakers ourselves, we are passionate about telling the stories of the artisans who make the products we sell.
We strive to make cheese fun and have a strict “No Cheese Snobs Policy.” The shop is a high-touch, experiential and fun learning environment where both veteran foodies and curious newcomers interested in learning more about the sometimes intimidating, but fascinating world of cheese, feels welcomed and comfortable to explore.
Our cheesemongers happily offer you as many tastes as you like (along with the stories of the cheeses you are tasting) to help you make your choices. And then we hand-cut your selection straight from the wheel so you know it’s fresh.
